What corporate video actually costs in the Bay Area

Real price ranges for interview shoots, event coverage, and launch films in Silicon Valley, and what moves the number up or down.

Nobody publishes prices in this industry, which is strange, because the first question every marketing lead asks is what it costs. So here are real ranges from our own work in the Bay Area.

A focused half-day interview shoot, one camera operator plus a director, lights and sound included, usually lands under five thousand dollars with an edited deliverable. A full event day with two shooters, live interviews, and a fast recap edit typically runs five to fifteen thousand depending on how many days and how fast you need the cut. A launch film with a concept, a shot plan, multiple locations, and finish work is usually fifteen to fifty thousand. Above that you are paying for scale: bigger crews, more days, more deliverables.

What actually moves the price

Crew size is the biggest lever. Every additional operator adds a day rate and usually a gear package. Locations matter too. One office is cheap, four locations across two cities is not. Turnaround has a price: if you need a recap the same week, the edit happens nights and weekends, and that costs more than a relaxed three-week timeline.

The thing that should not move the price is surprise. A good production partner gives you a number up front, tells you what changes it, and sticks to it. If you get a vague estimate and a shrug, keep looking.

The cheapest video is the one that gets used. A three thousand dollar interview that runs in your sales deck for two years beats a forty thousand dollar brand film that lives on a homepage nobody scrolls. Start with the job the video has to do, and spend against that.
