Chase ThompsonThe producer
Produced, not just filmed.
I'm Chase Thompson. I've spent the better part of a decade producing video in the Bay Area, and Catch 30 is the company I built around a simple observation: most corporate video fails in the planning, not the filming.
The camera work is table stakes. What separates footage that gets used from footage that gets buried is everything that happens before anyone presses record, and everything that happens in the hours right after. That's the job I actually do.

How I work
Five rules that run every Catch 30 shoot.
Start with the job, not the shot list
Before I plan a single setup, I want to know what this video has to accomplish and who has to act after watching it. A sales team needs different footage than a hiring page. When the job is clear, every decision downstream gets easier and cheaper.
Win the film in pre-production
Run of show, call sheets, crew booked by name, backup plans for the things that go wrong. Boring paperwork is why our sets feel calm. Nobody on a Catch 30 shoot is wondering where to park or when lunch is, which means every ounce of attention goes to the work.
Keep the room comfortable
Most of the people we film are executives and founders, not actors. My job is to make the five minutes before the interview feel like a conversation, because that's when people stop performing and start talking. The best line of the film almost never comes from the script.
Deliver while it still matters
Footage is news, and news expires. We hand over raw event files in hours, not weeks, because a recap that ships while people are still talking about the event does a different job than one that arrives as a rerun. Speed is a production decision, and we make it on day one.
Say the number out loud
You get a plan and a price within 48 hours of reaching out, and the price does not wander afterward. I publish real ranges on this site because guessing games waste everyone's time. If we're not the right fit for the budget, I'll tell you that too.
